Inclement Weather Guidelines2019-02-20T17:01:23-04:00

St. Mary’s policy regarding postponements and closures due to inclement weather is to provide for the safety of all visitors, parishioners and staff. It takes into consideration not only the conditions being reported but the time it takes to clear the premises, sidewalks, and parking lot to create a safe traveling environment.

Inclement Weather: Methods of Communication
The office will post the building’s status on its website, and an announcement will be placed on the parish office’s voice mail system (703) 527-6800.

Holy Eucharist Considerations
Every effort to maintain our regular worship schedule. Closing or worship delays will be posted by 6:00 a.m. for Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday morning services, and by 3:00 p.m. for Sunday evening worship.

Be aware that programs like the Nursery and Church School may have limitations due to staffing if babysitters and teachers cannot make it.

Parish Office, Church Meetings, Rehearsals & Outside Groups

• If school is dismissed early, all evening activities will be canceled and the office will close by 3:00 p.m.
• If school is closed for the day, all activities will be canceled for the day and the office will be closed.
