Celebrate Christmas Eve at St. Mary’s!

Follow is a guide to plan your worship experience.

Holy Eucharist & Children’s Christmas Pageants

Start Times 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. (Each service runs approximately 75 minutes). Please plan to arrive AT LEAST 30 minutes before the start of the service.

  • Worship Experience: St. Mary’s Sunday School Children retell the Christmas Story in pageant form.
  • Parking: Follow the St. Mary’s signs for parking options; see more for handicap entrances and accommodations.
  • Entering the Church from the Street Level: The Glebe Road lower level doors will be open. The Old Dominion Drive lower level doors will be unlocked only for people with mobility impairments and their escorts. The Glebe Road upper red doors will be locked.
  • Childcare: Professionally staffed nursery care for infants and toddlers available; the Nursery is located underneath the Nave worship space.
  • Ushers will seat complete parties; DO EXPECT to wait in a line prior to seating; DO EXPECT to follow the ushers’ directions as to where to sit. Each of our pews seats 6-7 adults.
  • All Unworn Coats will be hung in the Narthex.
  • Overflow Seating: Should we run out of seats, you will be invited to worship in our parish hall, where audio (no video) is piped in. Holy Eucharist is provided to those that worship in the parish hall. Should our parish hall become full, we will invite you to attend a later service.

Holy Eucharist with St. Mary’s Choir of Men & Women

Start times: 8:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.* (Each service runs approximately 60 minutes). Please plan to arrive AT LEAST 15 minutes before the start of the service. *Arrive by 10:30 p.m. for a Christmas carol sing-along.

  • Worship Experience: Rite II with clergy homily, readings, and choir at each service
  • Incense: We will burn incense during the 11:00 p.m. service.
  • Childcare Available Only at the 8PM service
  • Parking: Follow the St. Mary’s signs for parking options; see more for handicap entrances and accommodations.
  • Entering the Church from the Street Level: The Glebe Road and Old Dominion Drive lower level doors will be open. People with mobility impairments and their escorts should enter at the Old Dominion Drive door. The Glebe Road upper red doors will be locked.
  • Ushers will direct you as to where to sit. Each of our pews seats 6-7 adults.
