Easter Day is the annual feast of the resurrection, the pascha or Christian Passover, and the eighth day of cosmic creation. Come worship and celebrate with us!

Sunrise/Great Vigil of Easter in the Sanctuary
5:30 a.m.

This is the pre-dawn service that begins in darkness and silence celebrating the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ through light, lessons, and the Holy Eucharist.  The service is found on page 285 of the Book of Common Prayer. No childcare is offered at this service.

Family Eucharist in Paca Hall
Arrive by 8:15 a.m., Service begins at 8:30 a.m.

This is a Eucharist with piano accompaniment celebrating the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.  It is geared toward families with preschool and school-aged children; parents are expected to remain with their children during the entire service.  Children 3 and under are welcome in the service, although nursery care will also be available.  This service will last under one hour.  NOTE: If you attend this service please park in the Marymount Blue parking ramp. Holy Eucharist with Music in the Sanctuary*
Arrive by 9:00 a.m., Service begins at 9:30 a.m.

This is a Choral Eucharist with brass quintet celebrating the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Childcare is offered on the lower level. This service is found on page 355 of the Book of Common Prayer.

Holy Eucharist with Music in the Sanctuary*
Arrive by 11:15 a.m., Service begins at 11:30 a.m.

This is a Choral Eucharist with brass quintet celebrating the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.  This service is found on page 323 of the Book of Common Prayer. Childcare is offered on the lower level.

Childcare*

Our nursery will be available for children 3 and under,  located on the lower level at the north end of the building.  Please plan to drop your child off at least 15 minutes before the service starts and pick them up immediately after the service ends.

Parking/Directions

We have three designated parking lots plus street parking is available:

  • St. Mary’s parking lot, (N. 26th St and Glebe Road), for visitors and those less ambulatory.  Click here for map.
  • The John Marshall Building, 2501 Glebe Road (entrance on Old Dominion Drive).  Click here for map.
  • Marymount University to use the BLUE parking garage located at North 26th St and Yorktown Blvd (entrance on the East side of Yorktown Blvd., signs will be posted).  Click here for map.

Handicap parking is available along N. 26th St. (Four places are along the street and three in the concrete area). Enter at the Old Dominion doors for elevator access. An usher or greeter will be there to assist.

We will have parking attendants and greeters to assist you in finding parking and making your way into the church.
