Summer Church School occurs during the 10:00 a.m. service.  Children follow the crucifer out during the singing of the Processional Hymn and will return to the service just before communion.  Classes are held for 3-5 year olds, 1st and 2nd graders, and 3rd and 4th graders.

Join the fellowship, fun and learning in one of St. Mary's Choirs: Treble Choir (K-3), Boys & Girls Choir (4th and up), Adult Choir, Handbell Choir, Men's Schola and Women's Schola. Registration for all choirs begins today in Paca Parish Hall. Choirs resume their weekday rehearsal schedules after Labor Day. If you and/or your child have an interest in participating in this ministry, please see Gregory Hooker, Minister of Music (703-527-6800 or gregory.hooker@stmarysarlington.org). or see our information on the church’s website at www.stmarysarlington.org.

Church School Teachers are needed for the 3-year olds and 4-year olds this year.  Please speak to the clergy if you are interested.

Join St. Mary's 20s and 30s on a gleaning trip next Saturday, September 11. What's gleaning, you ask!? Area farmers need our help to pick extra produce they can't sell at market, and we get to bring it back as a donation to Arlington's food bank! We will meet in the St. Mary's parking lot at 7am for coffee/bagels, then head to our assigned farm (TBA) to pick from 8-12pm. Following a picnic lunch (you bring a sandwich, we'll bring sides and drinks) we will load up and return to the church by 2pm.  We expect weather under a hundred degrees this time.  Please RSVP to Jackie Wright (jacqueline.a.wright@gmail.com) or contact her with questions.

Big Sunday is next Sunday, September 12th – wear your Hawaiian shirts!  We will hold our annual Festival of Booths after the 10:00 a.m. service and then enjoy a barbecue on the Point.   Church School, Youth Forum, and Children’s Chapel will begin the following Sunday, September 19th.

20s and 30s Book Club meets next Sunday, September 12 at 6:00 p.m. at the Chesterbrook Starbucks.  Contact Johnanna Ogden (jaogden84@yahoo.com) or Kathryn Dominguez (kathrynb6767@verizon.net) for more information.

Not Your Mother's Bible Study: Join young adults from around the region for this monthly bible study.  Meet on Thursday, September 9, at 7:00 p.m. at the Virginia Square Cosi to talk about the gospel of the week.  Contact St. George's parishioner Elena Keydel (keydelena@gmail.com) for more information.
