Royal School of Church Music – live recording

As your Minister of Music, I was thrilled to host the outstanding Royal School of Church Music DC Choir at St. Mary’s last Sunday. The choir included a large number of boys as well as girls and teens. Please take some time to listen to them singing the mass, psalm and anthems for Sunday, July 26. The attached recording is an excellent example of what we aspire to at St. Mary’s throughout the year and not just when we are fortunate enough to have a guest choir of this caliber.

Our fabulous music director Bruce Neswick was very complimentary of this amazing group of singers, especially the young trebles who are among the very finest that he has ever conducted. These courses are not only outstanding opportunities for education, refreshment, community and friendship making. They are fertile territory for encouraging young people to become the future priests, choirmasters and lay leaders of the church.
