Lay Eucharistic Ministry

Lay Eucharistic Ministry (LEM)

If you can’t come to Church, Church can be brought to you by a Lay Eucharistic Minister (LEM). LEMs are trained and licensed  parishioners who take the Eucharist, from a Sunday or Thursday service to parishioners who because of illness, injury or mobility issues are unable to attend church services. The LEM provides a connection to the rest of the community by reading the lessons and prayers, summarizing the day’s homily and administering pre-blessed communion to the person(s). If you are in need of a visit from a LEM or know someone who is in need please contact the St. Mary’s Office (703) 527-6800
