Forum on Poverty in Arlington at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church

Please Join Us for a Forum on Poverty in Arlington

Sunday, October 25, 6–8:30pm at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church Arlington

The St. Peter’s Mission Commission has developed an evening program to help us learn more about poverty in our own backyard. We invite you to attend a “Forum on Poverty” on Sunday, October 25th from 6:00-8:30PM at which four local organization representatives from, the Arlington Street People’s Assistance Network, Arlington Thrive, Arlington Food Assistance Center, and Bridges to Independence will provide short presentations on how their organizations are addressing poverty in Arlington.

The talks will be prefaced by an overview of poverty in Arlington given by Anita Friedman, Arlington County Director of Human Services; and a sandwich supper will be served. We hope that you will attend and come away with a greater understanding of poverty and near-poverty in Arlington and begin to think about ways that you can engage to help address it.
